I'm always showing the missus new things i've managed to do regardless of whether i already have a perfectly suitable system in place.
 
I've been really impressed with my RPi2, much more stable and powerful than the original RPi (which is now languishing in a cupboard until I find a new project for it). Running the latest version of openelec (make sure to download the RPi 2 version), integrated with plexbmc and working with my lightpack compatible lights finally! Overall a great device for plex and streaming tv.

Find a wifi dongle that works with open elec and then just point to the directory in open elec and it will stream the movies (or install plex media server on your desktop and then a plex client to stream).
 
I got one the other day before OcUK stocked it ( :/ ) and it's brilliant, highly recommend
I'm using OSMC + Skin
 
just got my rp2 delivered with the above case.

no instructions with the case but didnt take too much working out. Only down side is the solder joints lift the pie up a touch on the right hand side so it stops the use of the top 2 usb ports, not a issue for my but might be worth a mention to the manufacturer's
