Pre Orders RTX30** GPUs

I made a Pre-order for a Asus RTX3080 last month at OC. Because of the uncertainty of supply I did not think OC would have taken my money until they were certain of delivery. But I have checked my Bank account and they have. Pre-oders for these GPU are still being taken, so I assume OC are able to get all of the pre-order stocks? The last time I contacted OC customer services, they said it may not be to after 2020 before stocks are secure, 2021? Obviously, things must have changed or have they? UK trading rules say that a supplier must deliver before 30 days of the order date, otherwise you can request a full refund after the 30 days. Maybe I am being a bit too negative, but when I hear of rumors of long delays of these GPU's it does make me think? However, there was a person on YouTube that has just received his Asus RTX3080 ROG Strix from OC, and said he waited just 2 weeks from his order. So maybe I should be more positive of OC, and wait and see what happens.

This is why I won't pre-order anything. They take your money and you sit in a queue. No thanks.

If they dont take the money then they would have to contact you to pay when they have stock. If 30 days have passed then ask for a refund if your not pre paired to wait.

At the end of the day the choice is yours

There's a thread stickied right at the top of this forum that answers a lot of what you asked already. There is even a link to cancel whenever you like and get a refund.

OcUK have always taken money upfront, they will not change it, it's why I never buy pre-orders from here, or anywhere that takes money upfront (bar a small deposit or something)
