Oh! I pick her up tomorrow but today I am ever so excited about finally owning a car that is actually quite decent :D

Within the past 3 years of driving I have gone from Metro 1.1 (L), Proton Compact 1.3 GLi (R), Honda Civic 1.5 (N) and now this:

insurance is for the next 2 months (my NCB come sin april so a major drop is due) £170 on top of what I currently pay for the civic (grp 12) and I currently have no NCB due to a little "bump" last year!, currently pay £167 a month. With 1yrs NCB on my NUD rapidbonus policy (fully comp) it is £67 on the civic a month, the BM will be around about that too come April.

It's a v plate 318SE with the usual SE trim (black/black interior btw, not grey/black like most)

Best guess, a a 318i or 320i SE.

lol, even if it is, it's still a nice step up from a Civic 1.5.

Looks smart... apart from those ghastly wheels. Get some 17" BMW //M wheels on there and it'll look great.

nice car but i do have to wonder why anyone would buy a 4 pot BM :p Surely it struggles to shift itself?

Tom.

Well the test drive put the civic to shame and it was quieter inside but open the window a bit and the engine/exhaust note was quite pleasing. I like the nippyness of the civic in 3rd pulling away but the BM was far more satisfying ;)

Will have to have a extended drive though with traction off around some country roads tomorrow to really get a feel of her!

£167 a month

Tis a bit of a bugger indeed, NUD are the cheapest ones I found too so I just stick with them, it's only until April though so a nice drop after that :)

Just how slow was the civic, 318i's are certainly what I'd describe as slow.

I know nothing about BMs... I always assumed that the model number referred to the engine size. But now I see you get 2.2 litre 320i's and so on. Weird.
