hello guys, im following a guide from "custom pc" magazing. Ive installed the CPU and the cooler, the graphics card, all fans and the front panel connections, like the magazine suggested. It told me to start up the pc then and check that the mobo starts up, all fans are spinning and that it can reach the bios screen on the monitor. Ive connected the monitor to the mobo via the standard slot, however i am getting no picture. All fans are working correctly and i can hear that nothing is out of the ordinary and the mobo even gave the obligitory beep on start up as per usual. This is my first build so im not sure what ive done wrong not to get a picture? Am i even able to get a picture without installing drivers etc? Help please!

might be an idea to post your specs so people can help you more, firstly does your graphic card need its own power ? if so have you connected them should be either a single or a double socket on the card normally 6 pin...

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 OC 768MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.20GHz Black Edition (Socket AM3)
Coolermaster Elite 430 Windowed Case - Black (with 500w Elite Power PSU)
Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-US2H 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
G.Skill RipJawsX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Thats what im using....yeah the graphics card is connected using 2x6 pin pci-e connectors and the fans are spinning correctly so im guessing its getting power?
