When i connected it up to my screen which is a 46in panasonic plasma via the HDMI on the GTX570 and booted up the bios screen came up as normal and then the loading windows prompt but then the screen went blank permanently. Called the support guys who reckoned it was due to the resolution of my screen as they set up the PCs on a high rez small monitor. They told me to connect via the component cable to a small screen monitor. Did this but problem persisted. They also thought it may be an issue with the OC so recommended i clear the CMOS. Did this and no change. They then recommended a full system restore So i reloaded windows, then reloaded mobo drivers then reloaded graphic card drivers. Did a system restart and again no picture on my screen. I tried this procedure 3 times all to no avail. On the last attempt i downloaded CPUZ and when i clicked the GPU tab it did not show my GTX 570. I have now lost the will to live and believe i either have a knackered GPU or motherboard. Any ideas?

Connect it back to the small screen,

Then right click the desktop, do you see a "Nvidia control panel" option?

i have no picture on the small screen and there was no nvidia control panel when i reloaded windows and all the drivers. This is the only time i can see a picture when im going through the reload of windows process once i do a system restart the picture is gone.

I brought a prebuilt from OC in January with a GTX 460 in and that was a case of hook up the HDMI to my plasma and away i went. Im confused as to why this would not be the case with the 570.

The only time i get in so to speak is if hit F12 and then do a full windows reload. I get a picture throughout the whole process. I can do everything i need to do, reload mobo drivers put GTX570 disk in and load drivers. Connect up my wireless network all that i can do and i have a picture on the screen. When i open CPUZ and click graphics card my GTX 570 is not there. Then when i do a restart i go back to blank screen following the bios graphical screen.

Go into the BIOS and can you go into integrated components, then switch the SATA controller between IDE and AHCI?

Either, I know that if I install windows on my SSD with it set to AHCI, then try and boot up with it in IDE, it stops.

Ok changed it to AHCI saved it to CMOS then it tried to load windows, got a brief and i mean very brief blue screen then it went back to the Bios screen tried to load windows brief blue screen again.....continued this for about a min till i turned it back to IDE. Then again i get loading windows get the coloured orbs the windows logo then blank screen as usual

Well I think its time to make use of the 12 month collect and return warranty as any other suggestion I give just gets more and more complex.
