I’d do a mem test and benchmark to get a baseline.

For reference my machine is about on par with yours and at 1200p ultra I max 200fps with no stutters (been a while since I played, but you get the jist)

my motherboard is a P8Z77-V LX, and i am running 3 ram modules Team Elite group PC3-12800 in Slots 1,3 and 4.

That’s a weird setup to me, unless it’s particular to that board? Have you tried with just two in the correct dual channel slots?

Each ram slot is 4gb, I originally had 4 ram sticks in each slot, but one of sticks wouldn’t let me boot into windows so I removed it.

Would it be better if I get 2x8gb sticks?

8gb will be more than enough for CS:go to test.

Just take out the stick that doesn’t use dual channel, I’m guessing slot 1.

It’ll just eliminate that as a problem, don’t spend money yet.
