Janesy B - probably a 1.1 HCS fiesta with a "puma engine" that turns out to be a 1.3 hcs(?) engine. But still faster than a poxy tdi passat ofcourse.

I'd like to politely remind you that you were the one stated that you like to go around 'thrashing' your mates Fiesta. You just didn't like it when I pulled you up on the fact that your Passat isn't exactly fast and that a Fiesta would arguably be more fun and faster through the tight and twisties. So if you don't mind, you can stop moping about with a chip on your shoulder all the time.

I think you'll realise that before you settle down and have a family, you'd like something slightly impractical that you can enjoy. As prices drop for the previous model SL you'll be more and more tempted to run one for a few years and will acquire an R230 SL500, possibly an SL55.

Therefore I would like to remind you that

a. I posted up a story about a guy with a fiesta like yours and a mouth not quite as large, a true story i should add.

b. you presumed incorrectly that i owned a PD110 which has 110hp and 150lbft IIRC. When I actually own a PD130 which is 130hp (though apparently more like 150) and 225lb/ft.

c. I dont have a chip on my shoulder, whilst your driving around in a car that cant pull the skin off a custard, i drive round in one that could tow a lorry*. Torque ***.














*presumption based on toureg having 2x the torque of my car and being able to tow a boeing 767.

I hate to break this to you, but 225lb/ft torque on a diesel engine is hardly going to set the world on fire ;) It's about normal for a family sized car, infact, less than the Mondeo (Mk3) of equivelent power (243lb/ft). I wouldn't go shouting about it :)

True story, torque is all that matters - more torks than the ST220 :D
