The thread I stole this idea from I think was Predictions for 2008 in which I predicted a forum nuking :rolleyes: I hope it doesnt reset everything, Im so close to 5000 posts! :p
 
not really a prediction more a truism

man will kill another man for money/power.

country X will invade another based on "perceived terrorist threat" and rape that country of its resources all based on morality...justice and peace for all.

Nah, it would be awful embarrassing to have that hanging over my head when it doesn't come true.

But i do believe soul searching and spirituality will have an increasing play on the hearts of mankind when the futility of existence without a higher purpose is determined meaningless.

Now that's the right level of eccentricism one should expect from composited guess work
 
I hope people got the sarcasm in my post :D.

I really hope motion sensors dont catch on with PCs. look at the amount of controls needed for the majority of pc games. Mouse + Keyboard still rule all. It just doesnt have the accuracy required for most games. Its a party piece for drunk people to lol at.

I wasn't here when the original nuking happend. No idea why it happened, but it's highly unlikely to happen again (for a long time) I think. Can't imagine why it was even necessary in the first place.

And upgrading from vB3 to vB4 certainly won't require it, from a technical perspective anyway. So your postcount is safe! ;) :D

But i look forward to controlling an RTS game using all my fingers, toes and penis on a motion sensor. Females may be at a disadvantage

A touch screen monitor would be much better, turn it on its back as pretend you have your own high tech war room. I found the biggest flaw with Kinect this weekend at my GFs parents house, her brother got a Kinect and was trying it out. Our dog likes to wander, queue the guy on screen flapping about all over as it picks up the dogs wagging tail for motion tracking.
 
A combination of the continued weakness of sterling, yet more government duty rises and the rising price of oil will continue to push fuel prices to record levels, risking further recession. The government will blame oil prices despite the fact that the continued low interest rates devaluing sterling and the relentless duty increases will be to blame.
 
My predictions for 2011 is that it will be the year 2011, and that it is 1 year before the end of the world.
 
Nick Clegg will be shot and killed.
The Queen will die.
MySpace will die completely.
Google will steal more data
Apple will rip people off and make lots of monies
Google TV will fail
Arsenal will win the Premier League
 
I predict that at some point the awesomeness that is the 0.5% base rate will have to give, and will spoil the LOL's which we are currently experiencing :(
