Just had a phone call from "Premier Communications" offering to buy out the rest of my N97 contract (£360) and give me a HTC Desire for £29.00 a month for 12 months then £36 for the next 12 months inclusive of 2gb internet, 150 texts, 2000 minutes.

Now this sounds great to me as I absolutely hate my N97 but then it seems slightly iffy that they'd give away £360.

Has anyone else heard of this before?

Damn it is a scam, confirmed by googling their number. I'm glad I said send me an invoice when they asked for my sort-code!!

Have you actually spoke to your network about cancelling your contract early? Mine (Vodafone) dropped my tariff down to £8 a month with 10 months left so I only paid £60 odd quid to pay it off.

Did you have to get another contract with Vodafone for them to do that? I've spoken to them before a few months ago (Vodafone) and they told me I couldn't reduce my tarrif at all

No, I told them I was leaving for T-Mobile (I wanted the Desire HD, and Vodafone didn't stock it at the time) and that's what I did.
