What that fails to say is how much those bonds have invested. I would hazard a guess that they're just a few quid, probably even below the minimum investment level.

He was an old forum member who had a fixation with the age of premium bonds and their chances of winning
He evidenced his "proof" with an approximately 100 year old statistics model for an unrelated subject matter
He did vanish recently...

Thing is, if you win big, you will have to pay tax on the interest if you deposit it into a bank etc!

I won't be , you dont get much change from hookers and cocaine.
Your pretty much guaranteed to get a better return on an isa.. Premium bonds don't make much sense currently unless you've maxed out your tax free allowances in other savings.
Since you can build up a large ISA pot by contributing each year in the long term it'll work out much better.
