Preparation for the times ahead

Lloyd Blankfein suggested yesterday that there should be a second vote on Brexit so I'm willing to bet there eventually will be, given his power. Then all this nonsense can stop.

No chance....I think if another referendum was called after the CEO of an Investment Bank (who cares for nothing more than lining their own pockets) requested one, would probably increase the leave vote % and be a giant waste of time.

You're obviously underestimating the power of Goldman Sachs then... You think he would post that sort of thing for the fun of it?

Not at all.....he can post what he likes....means naff all.....the governor of the bank of England has been going on for ages about how "bad" Brexit will be....hasn't changed anything and Lloyd Blankfein shouting that we should have another referendum wont change much.

I'm confused as to what preparations I could actually do?

Should I start storing bulk canned food and candles or something?

Edit - after reading the OP properly, I see you have some examples. I'll just be carrying on as per usual. I doubt I'l even notice the difference. I don' notice any difference when we are in a recession apart from the news being more doom and gloom than usual.

I can see what your getting at, but I feel May and Co have backed themselves into a corner with the whole "Brexit means Brexit" stance - even though they themselves would love to stop the whole thing at this point I would think

I will start tunnelling. If you hear from me again I either found a new source of wealth or I got peckish. If you don't I have made a new life with mole people or died in a hilarious act of ineptitude.

Saving as much as possible (which should be done regardless), although I'm nearing enough for a deposit on a house, I won't be buying until the dust settles. Added bonus is I might not need as large a mortgage. Assuming continued employment of course.
