Preparing for first overclock - Q9550

Ok going to go start messing around again now. Going to lower my voltages from 1.3v aswell as it seems the consesus is this is high for the snaller overclocks. what should i start at? Justintime could you please explain what running it 1:1 with the cpu means? if im going to be getting into overclocking i need to have full understanding of the lingo! cheers
