Hi

After finally purchasing all my upgraded products (see sig) I seem to be getting a strange error just after windows boots.

Post screen and windows loading screen basically last about 3 seconds each and then windows loads and everything seems fine for about 5 Seconds, I'll then try to load an application (browser or windows explorer etc) and the system becomes unresponsive. If I ctrl alt del I get the blue windows loading screen with the status 'Preparing Security Options' displaying. This can last from 30 seconds up to a minute before I see the task manager options etc. After this the system runs flawless.

The little information available I have found on this suggests a HDD fault, my SSD is brand new and have the latest firmware for the model (1.3.3), others say its an undetectable virus, but it started straight after a fresh install.

The system passes hours MEM Tests and Prime95 etc, and the OS as I mentioned was a fresh install that's only a few weeks old after I bought all my new hardware.

Any ideas people?

Cheers

Seems the culprit was Intel's Rapid Storage Technology software, as soon as I uninstalled said piece of software these symptoms ceased.

This might help others in the future.
