Pressed plates or whatever...

Everyone knows that the Rover 75 had the best number plate design ;)

Urgh I had an X type estate which had that rear plate style. Kept wanting to change it but never bothered

When I bought my car it had some poor quality plastic plates, faded, delaminating, etc.

So I thought I'd try some pressed plates which I think look quite clean. .

They certainly won't fade or de-laminate and they do look fairly normal (IMO).and prefer them on my car, but each to their own...

I like them. I have legal ones on my car. They're no more expensive that plastic plates either I don't think, they're about £16 for a pair if I remember correctly. Each to their own though, as long as their legal I don't see that it really matters, it's just personal preference.
