Pressing shift - space on my keyboard seems broken

I dont know why this is happening, but it is completely bugging me like mad.

When I press 'left shift - space', I get the following:

!"£$&*

When I press 'right shift - space', I get:

|GH

Plus task manager instantly opens up in a new browser window on Chrome, or bookmarks in Opera.

First I thought this was a problem in Opera, but its still happening in Chrome, and in fact its happening in notepad too except for the new windows popping up in my browser.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Do you have macros or some sort of game profiler loaded ?

I havnt set up any macros and have installed fresh drivers for my keyboard, its a Saitek cyborg.

Tried unplugging any other USB peripherals? That's an odd one!

The only USB peripheral I have plugged into the back of my PC in my keyboard!

It has 2 USB cables with a powered USB port on the keyboard, to which I have a Roccat Apuri USB hub attached, and everything else plugs into that.

I unplugged the Apuri and my headphones from my keyboard and it still happens.

It seems my keyboard is messing up, this one is actually a warranty replacement too though rather old now, the buttons on my first Saitek Cyborg started dying after 22 months, and I got a free replacement from Madcats as it has a 2 year warranty.

Well in that case the only thing I can suggest is trying a different keyboard. It makes no sense. The only time I've seen odd behaviour like this is when someone winds up their colleague by plugging in a USB "prank" stick or similar. Do you have a PS/2 adapter handy? Can you try that, assuming your mobo has a PS/2 connector?

I found out that its my keyboard thats buggered, my other basic USB keyboard works fine.

I cant play guild wars anymore with my Saitek Cyborg because pressing CTRL-Space is completely ruined and makes the game go mad with loads of random key clicks.

Does anyone know of any other backlit keyboards that have a powered USB port plus headphone and mic outputs? This is my second cyborg keyboard thats messed up now plus the keys have etched away very quickly so I want something else.
