pressure to use for cleaning?

Lowest and see if it works if it doesn't turn it up one and so on, just be careful keep a good distance don't want to be blowing any capacitors off do we.

I wouldn't use it at all. Could set up an electrostatic field & zap everything in there. Unless you take everything out first, and there there is nothing to clean !

Ive used the air lines at work (90 PSI). Great for blowing out fans and heatsinks. Use it quite a distance away normally.

Be aware that industrial compressors are usually connected to a drier that removes moisture from the air. There is a chance that a small portable type could produce a damp air stream.

It's fun spraying it on my hand, makes a crater. Hehe :D

NEVER EVER EVER **** about with hi pressure air!!!!!!!

It can penetrate your skin even without a cut/graze and lead to you having an air bubble in your blood. This can KILL you.

ONCE AGAIN, never mess about with air lines for your own or someone elses safety.

As already mentioned cheap compressors often lack the 'dryers' that are present in high specced compressors used for paint spraying, and industrial use. They will very likely blast a little water into the system. That said, if the PC is turned off, and given 30 minutes or so to 'dry out', it will probably be no more water than your PC would experience on a humid day. Cant see any long term damage being caused. Its not going to make your PC soaking wet.

I just use an air duster cans, they are cheap available in PC shops and online, and very effective. Way better than vacuum cleaner as they dont have the 'static' issues. Just blast everything out and then vacuum the room afterwards.

Its true with the compressed air and hands. Ive actually seen this, the bloke in question got the air through a cut, it swelled his hand up with big bubbles, looked horrendous. It was a hospital job to say the least. And our compressors definately have a drier. Some industrial compressors also 'lubricate' the lines too, with a red oil.

I'm still alive, sorry for being so unsafe Matthew.

Better to simply use a paint brush and brush dust away than waste money on air canisters.

Sort of on the same subject, Ive always wondered why people sell compressed air cans for cleaning computer equipment but never a vacume in a can? I think it would be cool to just have a can with a vacume inside it that you can simply aim the can towards the PC and press the nozzle and have it suck in all the dust untill the vacume inside the can reaches the same pressure as outside. That way you can easily dispose of the dust too since it all would have been sucked into then can which you can then dispose of.
