pressure to use for cleaning?

A vacuum in a can would fill with the air particles so quickly that it wouldn't last more than a second (probably much much less). So it's not really practical. Thanks GSCE chemistry lessons!

I do that all the time, you can get cool whirring sounds.

I know it generates a voltage in one direction tho, but it hasn't harmed my PSU at all, and I'd be surprised if it did! Probably best not to do it tho, if you wanna be on the safe side.

Also, a brush may generate static electricity - I prefer a compressor myself, but each to their own. I've washed a PSU before, and it worked fine once it dried. :eek:

When i clean inside my case i simply use a vacume cleaner, that way its not blowing the dust elsewhere, its sucking it up, and the power of it isnt powerfull enough to damage any components, no risk of spraying water vapour like cheaper compressors, and as far as im aware it doesnt generate static.

I just dont see why people go through the hassle of compressed air when a simple vacume cleaner does the job and everyone has one already.

I use a foot pump ,usually used for blowing up my son`s ball pit.You can get them from Early learning Center for a couple of quid.Works for me

A compressor makes life just soooo easy when it comes to cleaning your PC. I can have my PC looking like new in 2 minites flat, inside and out, I have my pressure set as high as it can go. When you have a network of 10 PC's or more you dont want to be standing there with a paintbrush or blowcan. They are so cheap now as well and nearly all new Compressors even the cheap ones are Oil Free. I have a Monster Truck as well (Losi LST II) and the compressor is a life saver. One other bit of safety advice which is really common sense, dont ever put the compressor line in your mouth and turn it on!! You can blow your lungs up and rupture them with even the shortest of blows.
