Pressure Washer - Patio Cleaners

I'm guessing you either didn't scrub, or scrubbed lightly. I think the primary purpose of the outdoor cleaner is to sanitise the area and to help get rid of any smells.

I certainly did scrub, until I couldn't scrub no more! I've still got the cleaner and I'll try it again on another part of the driveway out of interest but the difference between that and pressure washer was night and day. And using the patio cleaner attachment made minimal mess and didn't take much time. Certainly les effort and time than the liquid approach.

How have people gotten rid of lichen(sp?) as the rear garden stones seemed to be covered in them.

Even a good scrub should have helped. I find plain water and scrubbing with a stiff brush shifts most dirt. I only use the Jeyes to freshen up really.

What kind of brush you guys using? Got any links?

Using my pressure washer at the minute but it keeps pooling in areas leaving a load of dirt. (guess it isn't draining properly but it's only back garden so not too bothered)

Silverline Stiff Bristle Scrubbing Brush 203mm 8 is what I used from ebay, with Sainsbury disinfectant (was it 50p a bottle)
- as discussed - necessary compliments to a, was too pricey, karcher 160bar that eats water (and equally does not wash the car without a <£5 wash mitt)

Thanks I've ordered one. Now that I've washed all the patio, am I best working the kiln sand in prior to delivery of the scrubbing brush (next weekend)? Or does it matter if I do it after?

(pressure washer blew away all the Moss, sand and dirt/plants). Ill put up some pics later!

After a long day outside…

50/50

Are sealers worth using? Cleaned the back garden today, going to re-sand tomorrow and wondering if a sealant is worth the time/cost/effort?

I sealed my driveway with resiblock. Not a weed in sight, the driveway looks the same after the winter months as it did before and all of the sand is still there.

Not impressed with their oil guarantee though, spilt some olive oil on it today and it won't come off.
