I have a cheapo and a Karcher, no real difference when i use it on the car, but the Karcher is much more powerfull when i use on say, the slabs at cleaning the green 'mould' of em.

Wouldnt too high a pressure strip wax of the car?

I live in a hard water area, my £29.99 B&Q washer is still going strong, 4 years & countless uses later, and never had an issue with the mains (yet!)

I have a Karcher, cant remember what it cost, roughly around £130 last september, but im getting strange noises from it and also it doesnt give full power unless i faff with the on and off switch. I can see it going back tbh pretty poor.

Is hard water area the same as high lime scale area? I take it its an ally head?

When I used to repair them the ally heads never used to last. The limescale build up would damage the unloader valve. We used to put concrete remover through the brass heads to remove the limescale but the ally heads would turn to putty!

I just bought the Karcher 245 from Argos and the AB foam lance.

Pretty impressed with the power of the karcher for 60 quid

All i need now is for it to stop raining!
