Previewing website for Windows and MAC

I need to build a website for a company that can be viewed in both Windows and MAC OS.

After seeing my website on a MAC computer the other day, it looks awful

I didn't realise it would be different on a MAC, so I'm trying to think of ways to sort this out.

Is there any software that will allow me to preview my website as it would be seen from a MAC?

Also, is it possible to make a website that works perfectly on both MAC and windows? Or would I need to determine what OS the user is on and redirect them to a version of the website that supports their OS?

We have a mac mini now, can't remember the name of the site i used to use to generate screens of the site in Safari before that but a quick google turned up this one which is similar (and free).

Either use Virtual PC on a Mac to check your site in IE6 or use Browser Cam.

I find it best to design for Firefox because that way there tends to be less tweaking for other browsers afterwards.

I just gave safaritest a quick go, and my website appears to be fine :confused:

Yep works fine in Safari. Just a little suggestion - leave the menu item highlighted when you are viewing the corresponding page, it'll help people a little bit finding their way around.

I realise it's not what you asked for but there are a few typos here and there and your pricing implies that you will give them a copy of Windows in your install price. It's confusing as you mention their own copy or one supplied by you. Is that right as it could get you into hot water?

Maybe he's on Safari 1.x whereas I'm using 2.0.3

It depends on which version of OSX you're running.

Yeah, i'm just making changes to the systems pages. Thanks for letting me know about it though.

I can either use their licensed copy of windows xp or supply a brand new licensed copy for them. The price on the budget system for example includes buying a licensed copy. It's not meant to imply I'll just give them an illegal one

I'll change the wording of it.
