i downloaded the digital version off cdkeys that also included DLC(7.99 bargain) couple days ago, installed, but today was the first time firing it up and after the 'setting up for the first time', the game loaded, but once it starts loading, before it gets to the 'press any key' it would shut down with the error 'attempt to write data to address ************** the memory couldnt be written'? now if i select the shortcut and choose restore to earlier version it will get to the 'press any key', but then shortly after that the error comes up again.

does anyone have any insight in to why this would happen? it downloaded fine as far as i can tell.

I don't know if this is the cause, but your system is way below the minimum specs to play that game. Assuming of course that the system in your sig. is correct.

thanks for reply.

yes my system is in sig and yes i suspect it doesnt meet whatever the system requirements are, but i play GTA5 perfectly fine, i was playing Doom earlier with poor, but playable performance as expected, same goes for Cod:IW, so i cant see my system spec being the actual cause if those other demanding games run?

If you are using the steam client, try right click on the game in your library, properties, local files, verify integrity of game files.

Likely it's due to requiring a 2GB Graphics card - if there's not physically enough vram you can get the "memory could not be written" errors

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit versions)
Processor: Intel i5-2400, AMD FX-8320
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB
Storage: 20 GB available space
