I played the demo i liked it to a certain extent, but never bought it.

how long does it roughly take to complete? saw it in game for £5! wondered if it was worth the purchase or its cheap because it didnt sell
 
Well worth a fiver, don't think it was particularly long or too short from when i played it a few years ago

I remember it went down to about a tenner soon after release, the game was worth so much more than that just for the singleplayer. The mp is fun, but becomes both disorienting and monotonous very fast.
 
Agreed it's worth a fiver. I paid about £10 for the 360 version, and don't regret it. It has some very good level design in places, and there is a certain something to the atmosphere. Yes there are faults but I would recommend it.

It took me about 12-15 hours to complete on the standard difficulty level.
 
just bought Prey & RollerCoaster tycoon 2 for Free < i know it don't make sense.

Had 22000 reward points in game might aswell use them :D
 
Well since the oringinal version was started by 3d realms in 1995 I'm predicting Prey 2 will hit in 2019.Just before Duke Nukem Forever.

Seriously though I thought it was a great game and really hope there is a sequal in the not too distant future.
 
Yep, no-brainer for a fiver. Don't know if you still can, but something happened with the original publisher ages ago, and at one point you could put your retail key into Steam if you prefered.
 
is a cracking game and runs brilliantly at full settings on quite a humble system (my old 939x2 1gb ddr400 3850)
 
I've owned this since release, but only started playing it today (TF2 got in the way :D)

It's the only game I've played that makes me feel a little sick :(

Liking the game itself though
 
It's shockingly bad, stay away.

Repetitive, dull, grey, confusing to navigate due to every single room looking exactly the same, story is ridiculous and nothing interesting happens from start to finish.

Its a great game. baed on the doom 3 engine I believe s oits not terrible but by no means a looker any more. Quite interesting in its portal boxes scattered around and its love of genitelia shaped alien technology. It is quite short and some stuff does seem to be missing (i.e. most of the native american trials) but its a good blast and easily woth that price.
 
So far, it feels much more engaging than Doom 3 did, I played that for 2 hours or so and just deleted it

Yup, everyone in this thread is wrong. This game is shockingly bad and not only you, but everyone in the world should stay away from it. I realise that almost everyone has said it is a game worth picking up, but they are all evil drones and need to be silenced.

And if everyone else said it was shocking and I was the only one saying it was good, would you still come out with that crap? I notice you didn't add anything to the thread, my post may have been very one sided but at least I conveyed an opinion rather than act like a sarcastic ****** and add absolutely nothing.
