Ok, I'm buying my new built on the 29th of this month and I've been playing around with so many different builds and i've come across something that I have questioned.
I have probably overlooked something and I'm going to look stupid but I'll go for the plunge and ask the question.

Why is the 661 cheaper than the 660? Why is there a price difference in the first place? I can only see one difference and that the three digit number that is on the name of the product. If there is a price difference I'd imagine the 661 would be more expensive? But that is based on very simple logic lol

If anyone could shed any light on this I would greatly appreciate it :)

So based on that information alone, it doesn't make sense for the 661 to be cheaper than the 660. Could be down to anything though I suppose, could be down to distrubution and how much overclockers paid for them and their margin on top.

I dunno, just wonder if there was a main difference in the CPU itself and it seems that is the only difference.

Thanks OrphanBoy
