prices up!!!!

Obvious but if it's completely store wide that's a little naughty Imo. Some stock will have been brought and paid for with old exchange rates

When the pound regains a bit of strength I highly doubt OCUK will be eager to drop prices so rapidly either.

Was there an announcement? If not then sad that OCUK can't make an announcement about this before doing it. Transparency and all that.

30 days terms in general, so no, we don't pay on delivery. The dollar (which everything is priced in eventually) is 5 cents lower right now than when we last bought and it's still moving up and down hourly.

We've priced in a buffer against future volatility but can adjust this as things (hopefully) stabilise over the coming week. I doubt this is going to be a good thing for any UK reseller.

From the other thread.

They were waiting for this to line their pockets. Just go elsewhere until they act more sensibly or at least explain their decision instead of taking advantage of the situation

Not sure how you came to that conclusion!!! With the import of goods now being more expensive, they need to offset the rising costs so naturally prices of goods will rise to accommodate this.

and the goods were already in stock and until the economi negotiation starts goods will have the same import taxes.

The goods may already be in stock but may not have yet been paid for and therefore any fluctuation in exchange rate will effect the end price in pounds until the invoice is settled.

I smell the usual nievity to how business works.

Right... so as the pound strengthens (as it inevitably will) we will of course see OCUK prices respond just as quickly and drop again. Oh look, there's a pig in the sky!
