Pride...bruised.

Just made an absolute tit of myself tonight. My normal chest routine is 3x8 on the free-weight bench press then followed up to failure with about 5x8 on the Smiths, at least on the Smiths I can snap back in on failure and slide out from underneath.

The smiths was out of action tonight awaiting repair, so being an idiot I did 3x8 on the bench, did a some DB presses and a few shoulder exercises and thought I'd hit the bench again as I didnt feel 'complete'. 4th set...3rd rep..bang my arms just turned to jelly. 80Kg fell on to my chin and onto my chest. I was rolling around like a beached whale. Luckily a fellow gym goer rescued me.

My pride is so bruised :( In my gym, all of the weights are at the front of the gym underneath the suspended TVs, were rows and rows of cross trainers and treadmills overlook (read as, rows and rows of women). Peak time, 5.30pm. What makes it worse is that it looked like my 1st set.... :(

For some reason I felt the need to tell the internet of my epic fail :p
