Dont laugh! Mate says it isnt peas as and is something else they put in the tins besides the peas? Mate reckons the peas dont count as an 'ingredient' and so the 'primary ingredient' is somethink else.... sugar, water,,,, mush lol! but certainly not the peas!!! Anyone know if mate is right? My brain doesnt know what to think now

ANYWAY, went to the Hungry Horse for a meal and had a massive fish, chips & mushy peas but they bought them out on pretend newspaper which was nice. After soaking them in vinegar & tomato sauce my first few mouthful of mushy peas also contained paper and then I was eating paper with my fish. I called the 'Manager' over and she said they were experimenting and I was the first one to have it (I had it twice before with no pretend newspaper). I got another meal (I'd already eaten half of the first) and me and the Mrs got a free 'pudding', 'sweet' 'afterwards' or whatever you call it in your town.

Oh yeah, they were definitely peas, with paper.

I bet most 4 Year olds in this Country will know that mixing Yellow with Blue makes Green

Yes, your point?

got a free 'pudding', 'sweet' 'afterwards' or whatever you call it in your town.

That would be a dessert. A pudding is something rather specific, although a pudding can be a type of dessert. A sweet is a sweet, the American being "candy", not a course of a meal. I guess someone might call if "afters", but what happens if it's your only course, what has it come after?

this doesn't sound like what he was going for.

But it is made with marrowfat peas that have to be soaked to absorb water, rather than normal peas you just boil.
also bicarbonate of soda, water, salt&pepper.
so technically water may well be the largest ingredient by mass. As the peas are dried.
