prime doesnt like me...

if its stable in day to day usage and gaming then I don't see the point

only if your trying to pin down a random crash or instability otherwise no point, keep the c states on aswell, its a good feature

well ive just played Dirt 3 for the last 90 minutes ( was getting engrossed!! ) and its ran sweet. the max cpu temp I got was 55c

Good temps and its stable, you could maybe get upto 4.7ghz with temps under 70c.
Im happy running it at 4.5ghz Its stable and I know my temps are fine and I have breathing room with it.

maybe next year once I upgrade I might try and push this one further but right now im chuffed with the performance.

Im just waiting now for just cause 3 to come out.. I was looking at the trailer for fallout 4 it looks good as well Ive never played any of the fallout games

Yh 4.5 is good, if you was running two cards i go for higher.

Yeah same i like the look of fallout 4 too, but still not sure of it yet.

my thoughts if I go sli next year ill go for the 4790k to give it the extra kick it needs.

I do like the look of it but its one of they games where Im not sure if I would get right into it.

I enjoy just cause 2 and im looking forward to getting my hands on the 3rd one when it comes out.

Or even Zen, but wont know whats that like till its out.

Thats how im feeling as i done it with gta 5 and have only played it for 2 hours, waist of £37.

May give just cause 2 a go.

Add me on steam, name in sig.

+1 for real bench much better than prime to test stability of the overclock. I never bother with PRIME it just waste of time as you can be stable for 10h but you will lunch a game or another application, and you can get a bsod. Hope this helps

Prime is just a power virus! Nothing and i mean nothing will make your cpu consume as much power and produce as much heat as Prime95
Use Aida64 for a more overall better stress test. Intel burn test is okay but once again you'll never see this sort of heat produced.

If your fine in intel burn test and all games i would generally say your okay and have nothing to worry about.
