The nutritional value for Prime Hydration is backwards when you look at the science. The idea of this is when you are working out, you sweat so you replenish those chemicals, metals, elements that left your body.
Sweat is made of more sodium than potassium.
If you take for example Procari Sweat, a drink that is made by a pharmaceutical company, not a drinks company.
It has more Sodium.
Top google result suggests that "sodium losses through sweat can vary significantly between individuals. Currently, the range is
between 200mg of sodium lost per litre to over 2,000mg of sodium lost per litre of sweat, with an average of around 950mg/L"
If you look at Gatarade, their sodium level is 270mg with 80mg potassium.
Prime on the other hand flip that upside down, it has 10mg of sodium but 700mg of Potassium.
I suspect the reason being that this drink, despite it is being sold as a sports drink, it is not designed for people doing sports. It is designed for kids, it is marketed AT kids. Salted drink like Procari Sweat, tastes a little salty, kids won't like that. So they have to lower the salt for flavour.
The whole thing is a marketing gimmick. Sure, it is hydration, but it is as useful as drinking water, and if you are doing sports, yes, it is better than plain water but if you are just sitting around, in school lunch, it doesn't help one bit, you are just adding all these extra chemicals for no reason because you are not losing them.
