Prime minister can't be catholic?

Personally, I think anyone who believes in fairy tales (i.e. Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, God) shouldn't be allowed to be an MP.

What about the fairytale that you understand everything about the universe enough to discount things completely without the ability to test them?

Should that fairy tale also discount people from office?

Yes! Agnostics only please :)

(Please note, the above was not at all serious)

A prime minister can be any religion he/she likes, provided it doesn't interfere with their politics.
Especially not in education (Why I am opposed to catholic or religious schools in general).

Until they give up their separate schools funded by the taxpayer I'll be all in favour of the Act of Settlement.

Seperate schooling is a legacy of the fact that the Catholic Archdiocese had to step in and set up Catholic schools as the Government wouldn't allow Catholics an education. Years later various Government rules came into play meaning that the councils then stepped in for the upkeep of these schools. Had there not been discrimination against Catholics in the first instance, there would not be seperate schools. The Act Of Settlement shows that discrimination still exists.

I also find it strange that various MPs who have criticised Catholic schools have backed seperate Muslim schools. It seems it's okay to still discriminate against Catholics but not any other minority group.
