maybe a stupid question to ask but i ran prime on my pre built hp g5200 2.8 ghz just to see what happens not really knowing much about prime or testing was just playing really, anyway after about 2 mins temps were up to 41 on each processor got a bit worried about temps so tried closing prime down but wouldn't stop stressing the comp so ended up having to force shut down. 2 questions is tj max 70 an abbreviation for total joined max meaning max 35 degrees per processor if so would it of just kept raising till it crashed only being cooled by standard fans an such or was i just worrying too much and shouldov just left it to carry on not really bothered about my results was just having a mess about really and wanted to see how my pc world spesh coped in a stress test. just in case it makes any difference my processors are amd athlon II x2 220. and i ran it on the test bits from each area torture test :p

tj max means add that to current temp untill the pc will shut down to protect itself, to get prime to stop test file and then stop

aah rite cheers bud so shouldnt the tj temp drop as the core temp raises if you get what i mean? i was only monitoring them with coretemp free download so not sure if it was working that well, with regards to to the file then stop i couldnt click because they were grayed out for sum reason so i opend task manager and shut them down that way but cpu was still running at 100% and temps were still rising so had to force shutdown in my blind panic
