Prime

Of that I am aware, however my reply was to JohnG7 who was saying Netflix had stuff on to rent.

I moved to Prime as I was a Screen Select subscriber (which changed to LoveFilm which then went to Amazon hence the Prime subscription) and it has always had stuff to rent as well as stuff included with Prime and you have always been able to search via the included option so pay stuff doesn't show.

Ahhh I thought you were talking about prime. I'd not seen any rentals on Netflix either tbh.

Prime is pretty horrible, the interface is terrible and the watching experience is not good. Getting an advert between every episode on a paid service is so stupid. Also the film selection seems pretty weak compared to Netflix, I can never find anything good to watch.

I've seen some good films on Prime, but you really have to sift through some dross to find them. They also seem to be peddle Bollywood films quite a lot so someone into that might find it better value for money.

Haven't seen ads yet on Prime - maybe it is baked into whatever show you are watching though I'd be surprised if they didn't cut that out.

I generally find it much of a muchness in terms of interface, etc. with any of the other streaming sites.

There are ads for other shows between every episode

I've not witnessed this, either on my Smart TV or tablet and phone. I normally get a single advert when i first load and watch the first episode on tablet, not between episodes. Aside from that, never had ads on Smart TV at all.

Well this is on the website itself. Either way it's **** and you don't have it with Netflix.

On the flipside, the quality of Prime produced content is generally better than Netflix and has been for some time, there is just less of it.

Netflix is quickly becoming the Channel 5/Mcdonalds of streaming services, bland cookie cutter content with the occasional great show/movie.

Well that is a matter of opinion, personally I've watched easily ten times as many Netflix originals as Prime ones and all my favourite ones are on Netflix.

I should have specified, I meant Netflix produced, not Netflix general content. Even most 'Netflix Originals' are just bought content.

There is a distinct difference between Netflix produced and Netflix bought content, while not clearly apparent when browsing which is which.

They buy a lot of good stuff for streaming rights, however in terms of produced from start to finish, the quality isn't great versus Prime home grown content.

Honestly though, it doesn't really matter, just watch the content you like at the end of the day.
