Hey guys, just started a run on prime (stock 3.4) to test out temps but I stopped about 10mins in....

Because I DL'd "core temp" and was reading an average of 78c, now at 30c on like 2% load compared to 100%.

What should I do,is it my HS that is the problem? its "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro."

Also can someone recommend a temp monitor for windows?

I would say that was a little high, have you made sure all the little plugs on the CPU heat sink have engaged through the back of the mother board correct, have you a case with a hole around the CPU area so you can take off the side panel and check

Yeah, they all seem fine and connected to the MB.

I have a Corsair H50 I was going to return due to the 120mm setup not fitting to the 140mm fan on the back of the case...

But I have instead bought a fan adaptor so will receive that on Tuesday and will fit the system.

Will that make a difference, it surely must be better for cooling?

First thing to check is what voltage is your cpu at when it at 100% load ??

Use cpu-z to check the voltage while running prime ;)

As using to high a voltage will send the cpu temps sky high..

Yeah was thinking that, I have a fan adaptor coming so I can use the Corsair H50, that will be tuesday so will swap them around and leave the air cooling for now. Will post how a I get on soon...

Hey guys,

Just installed the H50, im getting temps:

IDLE - mid 40c
LOAD - 60-65c

What am I doing wrong, there is a solid connection between the paste and components. Is it a hardware issue, possibly the CPU?

Also guys what temp program should I be using, as CPUID is saying mid 40s for temp and Core temp is saying LOW 30s. BIG difference?

Will give that a try man, and yeah is it a bit better from before but liek you said still quite high :(
