Prime95

yes...Intel burn test is also good software for frying your CPU...or at least to try

sorry about wrong section :( .. my bad

its just i picked a cooler up real cheap and wanted to compare it. the stock llano cooler was pants getting to over 75 in battlefield 3 so i changed to a phenom stock and that was considerably better but still pants getting up to 67 in battlefield 3 now i picked up a asus lion square for 13 pounds only thing ive done is a prime 95 for 10 mins max temp 61

only problem with my testings is that my battlefield temps were before this heat wave. cooler seems to do the job though

yup, prime95 is way harder on the processor than games. it uses 100% of its processing power for as long as you choose.

as a former stock phenom II cooler owner i can tell you they're about as effective as an asthmatic blowing through a straw so i'm not surprised that it didnt make much difference
