perfectly safe and the EKhd fittings are designed for acrylic tubing regardless of where it goes, it is bitspower ones originally meant for Xfire/SLI gap. Mine are as solid as my tubing tbh.
Buy a set of fittings and some tubing if you want to feel how snug they are if you are having second thoughts, it should qualm your fears. You need 10/12mm tubing though and OCuk only stock the precut Xfire/SLI ones, EKwb sell the tubing in half metre lengths and so does one UK company which i cant mention (shipping is more expensive than EK shipping from Slovenia though, so not worth it).
EK HD fittings are good and once the tube is inserted the fit is snug, very hard to pull out
but you must taper the edges of the tube to avoid busting the o rings on inserting the tube into the fitting.
I've decided to order some of those Primochill fittings and some tube.
It's coming from States tho, so going to take some time.
12 Red fittings and 3 x 3 ft red tube pieces
I wasn't really impressed with the EK fittings, because there were only basic colors available and you know, if you are paying extra it is supposed to look the way you want it to. So the choice of black and silver isn't anything special, I'd sooner go for normal watercooling with flexible tube and have some red/white fittings.
