im after a cheap printer that can offer me some reliable performance, mainly used for uni work.

i thought i'd get a laser printer and have narrowed it down to three different ones.

samsung 2010
samsung 2510
brother hl2030

all seem pretty good but are any of them better than the other? Toner prices on the brother are about £10 cheaper.

Why dont you buy a cheap Epson printer and use non Epson cartridges. If it goes tit's up you can throw it away and loose pennies compared to a laser and toner.

They most probs last you years.

Regards.

toner costs about £40 a go and you will get about 5,000 pages out of a toner (might be more) all i know is my laser printer has been better then any inkjet printer i have ever had for work and invoices

yeh just for the black, great if u just want text done

i have not looked into the colour laser printers as they are about £200 or more

I suggest an Epson R360 or R265 with refillable cartridges - they work a treat.
6 bottles of ink cost £10 and are equal to about 12 refills.
Whatever you do don't buy a continuous ink system (CISS).
