Evening all :)

Right so I've got a rather large A2 printer. It's far too big to be put in the same room as the desktop machine that it is going to be connected to.

It's a standard parallel connection. The printer is an Epson Stylus Color 3000, not that that makes any difference. The host machine is running XP Home, but looking to switch that over to Vista within the next couple of months.

So I need some way of connecting that printer to the desktop machine, preferably wirelessly, so I can have the printer upstairs in the back bedroom or something.

Any suggestions appreciated.

The cheapest I see is the Motorola WPS870G which claims to do 802.11G. Others to consider might be the D-link AirPlus G DP-G321 and the Linksys WPS54GU2.

Perhaps you could try 1 of them IEE1284 to usb wires, and then you would hopefuly have a better choice of print severs?

The WPS870G looks quite good, it can handle WPA which the Linksys one cannot.

@Theguy: Would that work? Ie, can you use a parallel to USB adapter and then use a USB print server?

Thanks for the replies all :)
