Dusted off my trusty canon ip4300 after a year and its all working fine on my laptop.

Just plugged it in and off it went installed drivers itself....

How ever the main desktop machine that i want to install it on crashed when windows 7 was installing the drivers for it.

Now i cant get it to work and it just keeps getting a red cross next to it when trying to install.......

Its driving me crackers as i need it to work on this machine....

Ive tested it on several other machines and it all works fine on them......

If i run the Canon my printer it diagnoses the printer driver is missing.

When i try and repair it says......

printer driver : cannot be repaired
default printer settings : cannot be repaired...

Anyone help me out please?

Try doing a system restore to a time event before you originally connected the printer then try installing the printer again.
