Printer problem

I have a epson stylus c42 ux. Got it for my birthday years ago.

The last year the black hasnt printed very good. I.e no matter how many nozzle cleans i do the black print test pattern has white lines in and the black test is fuzzy.

What can i do to get it like the colours which print ok?

Its not the cartridge as its happened with 2 diff carts. Its the nozzle for the black i think theres something thats causing quality decline. Not sure how to fix it.
