Printers that work on Linux?

Mum's after a printer for use with her Acer ONE netbook, but it's the Linux version. Any recommendations for a printer that'll play nicely ?

I'm not a linux expert but I think HP printers are pretty well supported by most distros?

I have a Brother inkjet printer and Brother do actually have a linux driver page with drivers for most of their current printers and support documents to help get them working.

anyway HP have pretty good linux printing support (also does osx too)

whichever one you choose check the running costs the price of ink has rocketted worldwide and some wont allow you to use non-propriety cartridges.
