I have a HP PSC 2170 Printer and quite a large Sage document to print.

When this prints the whole PC just freezes and doesn't print.

All other normal size documents are fine.

I had a quick look in the advanced printer properties and the spooling options are set to "Start Printing immediatley"

Is this correct.. what else can I try?

Thanks

Can you print to PDF or such? Or a different printer?

I used to use PrimoPDF for printing to PDF, not sure whether it still exists...

Could it be that there is insufficient printer memory?

I think it is.. the doc is showing 337Kb by page 3  so if i'm right for 100 pages that's going to be 1.1 GB??????

I thought the printer would use the system memory/page file?

1.1gb!?

110kb x 100 = 11mb :)

Try spooling the whole job to computer memory before sending to the printer. It shouldn't be too much of an issue, a file that size, I've had to endure people's Publisher printing problems before, and they're huge files.
