Hi All

Got a major problem here that is doing my head in. I have an HP Designjet 5000 connected to out rip server. The rip server is running onyx 6 and pc maclan 9.

I have set PC maclan to share a printer, that prints a post script file and dumps it in the onyx input. This by all accounts works fine with our G5. For some reason however our g4 is stupendously slow and sending the data to the PC. Its fine sending it to our other Windows 2000 rip server (the one we are trying to replace).

All the machines are connected to our network via 100mb Ethernet.

I am really stumped as to why its so slow and its gotta be fixed asap.

Anyone got any ideas, i have already tried replacing network cables.

Thanks
Aaron

Just in case anyone cares lol...

In the end I realised that we only had one mac that used appletalk and that was an old imac that was never used any how.

So i got rid of Appletalk and used LPR printing, works a treat
