What makes you think they will scrap it?
Surely given it was about to be released, they must be so close to something

I'm guessing this game is nothing to do with Introversion?
I dont think it will be, hence why I said "if", its merely a possibility
I suspect they arent that close to something at the moment, if they were close I feel like they would delay it for 3 months or 6 months etc (like the delay that Space Marine 2 did), for them to delay it "indefinitely" sounds to me like there are larger issues with the game than something which can just be tweaked in a month or two. Combined with them cancelling the last title that they delayed indefinitely and that they are even going as far with Prison Architect 2 as refunding people who have preordered, all suggests that its a possibility that they might scrap it for the time being but at the moment thats just a possibility not a definite.

I agree, even the delay sucks as I was excited for it too, hopefully they can turn it round and we'll see it released someday

It's the sad thing I notice as I get older. Games just take a lift time to come out.
13 years ago skyrim was released. Could be what 2/3 more years, so let's say 16 years between releases. That means I may only get to play 2 more before I'm an old man in retirement. Just 2 more eldersrolls games, and even then, the 2nd one I may feel too old to properly get into it and those games require many hours to play them and the time not too large between each session so that you remember what you're doing.
So sad
They sold the original IP I believe and are currently working on “the last starship”, which I think looks quite good.
