For those of you who are currently watching any/all off the above series, is there any OTHER series out there that I havent heard off which is worth watching? Yes I really do have that much free time :D

Invasion - top notch, I'm really enjoying this series so far. America certainly does it right with 20+ episodes a series.

When a small town at the edge of the Florida Everglades is threatened by a raging hurricane, U.S. Park Ranger Russell Varon must go to great lengths to protect the small community and his family safe. During the storm his young daughter claims to have seen mysterious lights, seemingly unaffected by the gale-force winds, floating near the water. Varon dismisses the sighting, but begins to wonder if there really was some truth to the story after his missing ex-wife turns up naked and her memory of the storm is completely gone.

While the community begins to clean up after the storm and piece their lives back together, Varon begins to investigate the strange happenings as he tries to make sense of what is happening.

I'll recommend Hustle. It's not driven by an ongoing plot so much - obviously there is one, but it's not like it develops from episode to episode, the episodes are very standalone. It's excellent telly though! Very fun to watch.

I got kind of bored with Invasion pretty quickly. It was like the just blew the story immediately by telling you almost exactly what was happening from the get-go, and only really leaving you with the question of why it was. To which the answer was "we dunno". Just all felt a bit flat because of it really.

When did you stop watching it? It was already pretty obvious what the show was about when it's called Invasion. ;)

Same here. I dropped after three eps.

Alias is good, plenty of episodes you can catch up on with that, done by JJ Abrams aswell, same guy who does Lost :)

i watch 24 and lost but havent seen prison break, is it really on the same level as lost and 24? no talk of unaired UK episodes please

Prison Break is good (very formulaic though) but not even in the same league as Lost.

Lost has actually reassured me that there is even a reason to have a TV anymore. :)

I watch Prison Break (   )
Amazing(although somewhat unrealistic ;) ) series. I almost have cardiac arrests each episode. They are trying to kill me with suspense. I honestly am shaking by the end with anticipation.. only tv or film that's ever done that to me.

I recommend House on channel 5 at 9 on Thursdays. Good quality humour.

House is quality stuff, grays anatomy is decent too and is shown after house on channel 5.

If you want to be killed with suspense then try watching 24 :p

American Dramas > British Dramas. Period.

The US gives us

24, LOST, Prison Break, Alias, Desperate Housewives, ER, House, Grey's Anotomy, Veronica Mars, West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG1/ Atlantis

The UK recently has

Hustle, Spooks, Dr Who...and i can't get into anyone of them.

The BBC/ITV/Ch4 makes 6 episodes and call it a season. A full US season has 4X that. I tried to like British dramas but it never has the same intensity, whether it is in the writing, editing, music, cinematography, directing, acting or what, it just falls miles short of holding my attention.

Take this afternoon's episode of Dr Who, what was that about exactly? it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too out there, even for a time travel sci fi program. Just full of holes and bad acting.

tv is rubbish because of the adverts, i do buy them on dvd, but it annoys me that i can't watch them when they first come out.

have to agree with that, I cant stand to watch most british shows they are laughably poor compared to the stuff the yanks do.

bledd i'd edit that, talk of that kind is strictly forbidden on here.
