I'm in need of dental work. Polishing and replaces a couple of fillings as I've not been for around three years now.

However, it's hard to find an HNS dentist in the Cheshire/Manchester area, so looks like I'm having to go private, and was wondering generally how much do private dentists cost you for various stuff. I have contacted a few around here, but they seem reluctant to give out their costs.

These fees look very good: http://www.mapledental.demon.co.uk/

Yeah, white ones are very expensive.

Get on Denplan, depending on the condition of your teeth, it could cost from £12 a month up. After that you get all treatment in house is included in the subscription cost.

I'm on one of these plans and pay £11 per month. Much better than when I was on the national hell service. He now has all the latest equipment which the NHS couldn't provide, such as laser treatement for removing teeth etc.

there wasnt much differance in the cost really around £20 or so . on denplan they started me at £14 a month then after the first check up dropped it to £10 , the price goes on the condition of your teeth .

My mum is on Denplan and pays around £35, she has okish teeth but needs fillings and caps.

If you need work for cosmetic reason's I believe you have to pay extra. I'm not on denplan and to get your teeth polished costs £32ish I believe.

I use the Optical Express Dental Clinic (what was Boots the Dentist) and it's expensive but definately worth it. I think it's around £100 per filling, not really had anything else done. I pay £10 a month, which gets me a free check up and hygenist appointment every year, plus a certain amount (15%?) off all treatments.

EDIT: Whenever I've been in for a check up, I've been given a cost estimate for all treatments that they would recommend and a guideline of when they should be done.
