Hey

I'm looking for a plate for my Fiesta ST, in mind I had:-

ST06 FEZ

As ST, it's a 2006 model and Fez is the nickname for the Fiesta's. :)

However there are none!! There are 03, 04, 05 ... 07, 08.

My dad said it was illegal to put say the 07 one on the car as it makes it younger than it is?

Is this correct?

Thanks!

somebody has already thought of it obviously.

and you're right, you cant put an 07 plate on an 06 plate car. Otherwise they'd run out of registrations sharpish as everybody just bought a new numberplate every year to make out they'd bought a brand new car

Just buy ST05 FEZ. That works fine

and it still says to me Fiesta ST.

Ok cool. Cheers to everyone else for the replies. :D

Yeah I figured it must have been purchased already, I'll just have to get the 05 or previous one.

Ta! :D

The good thing about custom new style plates is they are all fairly cheap...

Unfortunatly, they will be missed by most people and dont look anywhere near as good as an only style letter/single number/three letters plate...

S7 FEZ :)

they are terrible and very cheap

you can pick these types of plate up for £250

the decent plates are dateless plates with up to 3 letters then 3 numbers

so where x = a letter
y = a number

x y

xx y

x yy

xx yy

xxx yy

xx yyy

xxx yyy

these are the best private reggies unfortunately

50 NY costs £75,000

i currently own which can be put on any car because its dateless so any new or old car

so the best dateless ones your looking for would be

FEZ 1
FEZ 2
etc

but they would probably cost you more than the car - generally the shorter the number plate the better it looks, and the better they are the more expensive they are all dated reggies look horrible, dateless or cherished as they are also known are the ones to go for, and they never lose money either , they gain more every year

Are you sure? DVLA records state it's assigned to a 1950's Vespa Scooter which has not had an MOT for almost 10 years and therefore cannot currently be transferred off?

Didnt this whole argument get done to death in another thread. He doesnt own that reg, its still for sale...

Anyway, for the money, the letter/number/3 letters plates are by far the best. Cheap, and look good. Just check Peter Nems and Ollys BMW's. And best of all, you can have just a bunch of random-ness and it still looks cool!

P2 WTF - £189
P2 F T W - £189
H10 CUK - £189 (EPIC WIN! HI OCUK :))
T6 FST - £189

FEZ 1 - £25,000

Hmm... I know which style Id go for!

haha deja vu :p

B9 DAX is mine. Currently on the bike, due to company car, but Dax is what everyone calls me (abbrev. for Darren), B9 is pretty ageless , so dont get that bit either (I could even argue that my Birthday is Sept, which is 9th month, but its the DAX i wanted). Was a great 21st BDay present from the parents - will last a lifetime. Didnt really want the 3 + 3 style (one i looked at was S15 DAX (sept 15th) but thought it looked less personalised being 6 figured).

At the end of the day, who cares what other people think. Mine was a birthday present and I'll hopefully keep it forever :)

It finishes the car off, makes it look a lot neater and a bit more, well, personal. Jez's Merc looks so much better with a private plate on too.
