Private Reg question.

Can you still sit on the phone the nite a new plate is released to try to get a new reg?

I rememeber my cousins sat on the phone for hours, had 4 of them on different phones all nite when the R reg came out. They came away with R4CED (which went on a Ferrari 355) and R4NCH (which initially went on an Escort?!?! but has now been sold and is on a Range Rover). R4CER was held back for auction though.

Another steal they has was T1FOS (Prizes for guessing what it means? as a clue, the 355 was to old to have it so it ended up on a Focus)
 
Don't think i've ever said what my plate is...

Someone down the road from me has a number plate like "T4" or similar on a focus. Surely he got a good deal or it was given to him how much would something like that cost?
 
I haev TRC7 R on an old bike, know someone called Tracy R ( well not R but begins with R ) and thought in the past about letting her have it ( the reg plate :rolleyes: ) , It was on an old Honda SS50 I had over 20 years ago and was used as a field bike after the tax/mot lapsed

I assume there is no way I can get this plate transferred ?
