Ok, so, the E60 is due a service. Slightly overdue, but meh.

It needs:

Oil service (to include air filter this time, although, this would be the first air filter change in 60k miles if I hadn't done it myself)
Brake Fluid Change.

This is from a main dealer. Closest ££££ guess wins, err, something :)

Pfft! You're all rubbish!

This, is the cost for an oil service, air filter, fuel and oil filter, loan car for a day, labour and parts....Ho Hum

it's an estimate so I'm not sure what they reckon on labour. I'd assume 3 hours?

Microfilters are (or have been) always changed as part of an air/oil service IIRC

Replacement of the microfilter is also a part of a BMW oil service.

and even then, only make up a small % of the cost. I mean, intake silencer service? C'mon, they're going to check the intake pipe to the air filter. Ridiculous

You definately gave everyone the wrong idea when you implied it basically just needed an oil change :p

I don't believe I did. I said, brake fluid, air filter and oil change.

So, that, for anyone even remotely clued up on servicing would be:

Air Filter
Oil Filter
Oil
Brake Fluid

All that I've missed is fuel filter and micro filter (which is part of the oil service anyway). The car is booked in for an oil service and a brake fluid change. Nothing more :)

In all fairness, the car wasn't touched last year, in fact, it's last service was June 2010 when I had that oil change debacle with Woods. This service isn't booked with them though.

When you look at it like that, that's £34 a month :o

I'm positive I can get it cheaper though
