Pro Evo 2008 - PC or Console?

Is there anyway to get a ps2 or a ps3 pad working on vista 64?

I have always played PES on my pc using my ps2 pad and a usb converter for xp, but its not supported in V64, i bought a 360 pad for my pc and it works fine, but its not the controller for me, not saying its a crap controller bet lots of ppl like it, just saying im a ps2 pad man myself.

any ideas, cheers CaNNoN

I think the xbox 360 controller is the best controller i've ever held. I will be playing it on the PC. The modifications are worth it in my opinion.

Will you use the wireless pad and the crossfire wireless receiver or do you use the wired pad?

Does the xbox controller port well to the PC version?

I use a wired 360 pad on PC, works well for PES6 despite loosing the rumble pack due to a power surge.

I'm still undecided what footy game to get this year, fifa on the wii? pes on the 360 or pc? I'll wait and see how well they're recieved before making a decision.

i'd definitely go for the PC version. Graphically just as good, but without any of the gameplay slowdowns, as long as you have a decent rig. The modding is much easier, and there will be a huge selection of mods and patches to choose from within days of the game getting released (proper hi-def kits, new stadiums, balls, pitches, commentary etc etc). Online is supposedly much smoother this year as well.

Also, you can choose which style of pad you'd like to play with.

The only thing that might make me get a console version would be owning a huge tv screen. But i don't. So it has to be pc for me. I'm sure i won't regret it.

I can play it on a huge LCD via DVI...I have to say that I am swaying to the PC version more and more. When I played the 2008 demo side by side the PC killed the 360 version. I do have a high spec PC so that was to be expected to a certain degree.

I might just buy both!!! then I can pwn on 2 platforms :) !!!

how many times can you mention your huge tv and your high spec pc in one thread:p

i would think the 360 version would have the better community. thats the one id probably choose.

lol sorry if that seemed like willy waving, thats not my style. I was responding to his comment about being able to play my PC through an LCD TV as I can the 360... :(..

Anyhoo, this is the game I want more than ever now!! 5 more days to go!!

Looks like the pirates are going to get this game first, its already beginning to leak out today for the xbox360.

Isnt it sad how the pirates can get to play the games a few days before us genuine buyers do.

The PC version doesn't have the next gen engine. Looks awful. Much as I hate to say get a console version ;) Seems that they thought most PC#s wouldn't be able to run the new engine, so instead of just scaling it, they didn't give the PC version the new stuff.

Edit: guess i was talking fud, sure I read pro evo was the same as fifa with an old engine.

Pro Evo 2008 looks like it's the Xbox 360 version this time round( with obvious advantages of it being on the PC. PES 6 Was the PS2 version.

FYI, I actualy perfered, PES 6 on the PS2/PC .

I must say I am not a fan of the PC engine, it doesn't feel like it flows as well as the games I've played on the PS2. Then again I haven't tried PES2008 on a console so I don't know if that's just a failing of the newer installment.
