Well if you look on a Call of Duty 2 case, it says "PC DVD" and on Battlefield 2, Counter Strike Source and Pro Evo 6 etc it says "PC DVD ROM"

The "PC DVD" which is CoD2 doesn't work in my DVD drive

There is no difference. ROM just means read only memory which they all are.

the online mode is a joke. i can reach my player selection page, then after that it disconnects. occasionaly ill make it to the lobby, then when i pick a room it disconnects. its the main reason why i bought the game.
 
Anyone else finding it easier to beat stronger teams? I've played five matches so far (all on 'Top Player' level, my team in bold):

France 1 - 1 Switzerland
Italy 0 - 0 Denmark
Italy 0 - 0 Turkey
Italy 0 - 0 Hungary

Inter 3 - 1 Man Utd

I'm confused now :p
 
I'm playing on the hardest available level atm and it seems okay to me. Making the transition from 6 stars to this has been pretty easy although I did lose 1-0 to Chelsea and didn't get off to the best of starts but I'll get used to it.
 
Playing Master League on Top Player and I'm halfway through my second season, straight wins in this season so far! (Did lose a few in the first season though)
 
Czech Republic are bloody fantastic on this game. Just did a World Cup with them and tore it up.

The 4-4-2 formation with a DMF and then Nedved, Rosicky and Poborsky ahead of him (forming an arrow shape), and then Baros and Koller up top.. unbeatable.
 
Just out of intrest what do you guys use to play? I was thinking of getting a PS2 to USB convertor so i can use my PS2 pad to play online..
 
I use an Xbox 360 controller. Works great on the PC

I have got it to finally work in proper widescreen if anyone is interested
