Pro Evo 6

Played this a lot today, and i have to say i enjoyed it 10 times more than PES5. Just seemed more playable and enjoyable, improved AI, supposedly less cards (i got booked for winning the ball and not even taking the player out :confused: )

It's a lot harder to score, but team tactics can be tweaked a lot more than older versions too. I loved it, put it that way :)
 
Lol. Konami have very poor quality control dont they? Didint they test the game on Ati cards before releasing it? No widescreen support? They are beginning to test the patience of even the most loyal fans. Takes the biscuit to be honest :mad:
 
I finally got logged in last night and played a couple of games online. THey felt very smooth compared to PES5, much better net coding it seems.

However, in PES5, i could win. On this, it seems much harder to defend. The people I played against just got it to someone like henry, and dinked past all my defenders even when I was trying to stand up and not commit myself. Then if i do get a foot in, it will bounce loose, they pick it up, and pass it around in my box with my defenders running around like headless chickens until they can slot it in.

Never had this problem in PES5. I think it is down to the player switching, it seems to do it on its own as SOON as they pass the ball, how can i change this so it is entirely down to me pressing L1?
 
No next gen stuff in the PC version mate,more like a more polished PS2 port & the edit modes are available,there not in the 360 version

Get ready to scream if you have an ATI card though :mad:

well, it's jerky for the first game you play, but then the jerkiness goes away and it's fine. Admittedly that is far from ideal, but at least it's not a constant jerkiness. So what i do is load up, play a 5 min friendly on easiest difficulty to score some nice goals, then start the master league / cup etc.

There should be a fix soon though, apparently konami are aware of the problem.

With regards to the gameplay itself - I love it. It seems far less frustrating than PES 5 was, and the long balls and passing in general are much more fluid and realistic. Looking forward to getting into this more.

PES 7 had better be more than just a little upgrade though - there's so many things they should look into improving (better sounds/graphics, longer replays, presentation etcetcetc)
 
Looks like i'm going to keep hold of my copy,managed to play a few games last night & if a patch is on the way soon,that can't be bad.

Agree with you on pes7 though,they could be doing so much more with the pc version

well guess what...

i have the same problem too with pro evo 6, woke up today a nice 9am, saw my pro 6 came in the post from a competitor install it all fine, about to play my first master league match... and bam!!! lag, stutters, all of it.

for those who saying its a pc/hardware issue... please... its not

its obvious its a problem for most pc users, (some lucky)
and hopefully there is a patch / fix very very soon!

oh... and incase your wondering,,, my specs are...in me sig :P

so cant be my pc! plays everygame i ever had on max, even run 4 dam games at once! only pro 6 doing this.

i hate games that get released with bugs, just like the dam ranking issue's and unlocks with bf2142!!!! was so annoying.

Don't mention competitors. FF.

Hoping this is sitting in my letter box right now - quite releaved I have an nvidia card - although have suffered in the past (pes4) from stuttering - which also seemed to disappear after a couple of games.

The game play of the pro evo series is always the best bit - the reason its better than fifa. Its just a shame the presentation and all round polish is so poor.

If a fps was released every year with EXACTLY the same graphics as the previous year no one would buy it.

It does lead me to think if as much effort was put into the looks of pro evo as say half life 2 or fear what could it look like. I know this isn't the point of the game but would be exceptional to see.

Roll on work home time and pes6!

must admit im liking fifa allot more this year :eek:

wich is bad considering i havent bought a fifa game since rtwc 98 :(

connecting to online is well....imposibble for me atleast

If you like this years fifa you will like it from the year 2003 (hasnt changed)
 
Just got this game delivered myself today and I have to say it's brilliant. They've improved in quite a few areas over Pro Evo 5. Great game.

Just wanted to let you know that widescreen works fine for me. 1680 x 1050 was an option in Settings and it looks great. I'm running an Nvidia card if that has anything to do with it.
